Gamelan Sekar Jaya’s Angklung, Gender Wayang, and Dance Ensembles return to La Peña Cultural Center for an evening of Bali, Beauty, and Bronze. Join us for an evening of performances, directed by our 2026 Balinese Guest Directors. This program includes educational context presented by Dr Lisa Gold, UC Berkeley Professor and long-time Gamelan Sekar Jaya member, as part of our multi-month Powangan program.

Immerse yourself in the mesmerizing sounds of the gamelan orchestra and be captivated by the graceful movements of the dancers. Whether you are new to Balinese gamelan, or a long-time gamelan musician or enthusiast, you are invited to La Peña, just blocks away from Gamelan Sekar Jaya’s banjar, to enjoy this concert.

This is a family friendly and all-ages event. La Peña is an ADA accessible venue. Masking is encouraged, and not required for this event.
