Gamelan Sekar Jaya’s Angklung, Gender Wayang, and Dance Ensembles return to La Peña Cultural Center for an evening of Bali, Beauty, and Bronze. The performance is led by Fall 2026 Guest Dance Director Ida Ayu Nyoman Dyana Pani, who is also a renowned maestro vocalist. She will bring her beautiful voice to the performance, singing and dancing alongside this enchanting music. Angklung is led by local Guest Artists Paddy Sandino and Wayne Vitale, Gender Wayang by local Guest Artist Paul Miller and Ida Ayu Nyoman Dyana Pani, all accompanied by Sekar Jaya’s exceptional dancers and musicians. This program also includes educational context presented by Dr Lisa Gold, UC Berkeley Professor and long-time Gamelan Sekar Jaya member, as part of our multi-month Powangan program.

Whether you are new to Balinese gamelan, or a long-time gamelan musician or enthusiast, you are invited to La Peña, just blocks away from Gamelan Sekar Jaya’s banjar, to enjoy this concert.

This is a family friendly and all-ages event. La Peña is an ADA accessible venue. Masking is encouraged, and not required for this event.
