This class was initially created for the Indonesian and Indonesian diaspora community in the Bay Area who share a love for dance, and over time, it has grown to welcome anyone interested in experiencing the beauty of Balinese dance movements.

In this class with Ayu Sukmawati, we will be learning fundamentals of Balinese dance technique and exploring several traditional Balinese dance routines. All dancers are invited to honor and respect the community and its rich cultural heritage, and we look forward to the friendships that will grow as we learn together.

Students of all genders are welcomed; students must be at least 12 years old. These classes may sometimes take place outside in the outdoor patio area of the banjar building, depending on the preference of the instructor.

This class happens on Saturdays from 10-11 AM.
